Your card data stays on your device

Decky.online is a static, browser-only application. Every flashcard you create, every image you upload, every edit you make, and every PDF, .deck, or other file you export is processed entirely inside your own browser. Your card content is never uploaded to our servers because we don't operate any card-storage servers — there is no backend.

Your active deck is autosaved to your browser's IndexedDB storage so you can reload the page without losing work. You can clear it at any time from the Home button (top-left), or by clearing site data in your browser.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregate usage statistics — which pages are visited, broad geographic region, browser type, and the kinds of decks people create (template name, card count, anonymous setting toggles, never the card text itself). This helps us understand which features are actually used and where users get stuck.

The complete list of analytics events we send and exactly which parameters each one carries lives in the analytics documentation in our source repo. No card text, image content, theme colours, or other user-authored data is sent — only event names and small categorical params from that list.

Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and processes a truncated form of your IP address (we have IP anonymisation enabled). The data is sent to and stored by Google according to their privacy policy. You can opt out by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on, by enabling Do Not Track in your browser, or by blocking analytics scripts with an extension like uBlock Origin.

Hosting

The site is delivered from Amazon CloudFront, a content- delivery network. Standard server access logs (IP, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) are kept for routine operational and abuse-prevention purposes.

No accounts, no tracking across sites

We do not offer accounts, do not require sign-in, do not set first-party tracking cookies, and do not share or sell any data to third parties beyond the Google Analytics processing described above.
